Argentinean artist Santiago Garcia drops four delicate house numbers entitled ‘Came To Reality’ on Bedouin’s recently launched Human By Default imprint.
Born and bred in Buenos Aires, Santiago Garcia moved to Spain a couple of years ago and since then he’s gone on to release on labels like Innervisions, Warung Recordings, Moblack, Multinotes and Exit Strategy, collaborate with Blond:ish, not to mention garner support from the likes of Black Coffee, Âme, and Dixon. As a performer, Garcia has graduated from the South American electronic music scene and now makes regular appearances across the world, becoming a noteworthy name at Bedouin’s Saga events. The duo has consistently supported his productions in their sets and now invites him to release four quality cuts for their Human By Default label’s third outing.
From the word go ‘Clock’ is all about heightening suspense as delayed percussion, tantalising arps and soaring synths come together, soon joined by enchanting vocals and offbeat groove in a mesmeric conclusion. ‘Oceans’ follows with throbbing bass, scintillating chords and murmuring spoken word, making way for the meandering rhythm, stuttering stabs and sci-fi bleeps of ‘Speechless’. Tying it all together, ‘Comes Alone’ combines pitter-patter drums with an eerie melody and twisted vox.
